The annual Ganpati festival revelries bring concern for the environment as the thousands of idols immersed in the sea at the end of the festivities threaten the environment. But, the change is in offing.The artists have now started making idols out of paper and mud, which are completely soluble in the water and do minimum damage to the ecology.
कोई भी नया काम शुरू करने से पहले हम सबसे पहले प्रथम पूज्य श्रीगणेश का ही स्मरण करते हैं। गणेशोत्सव में पूजा की पवित्रता बरकरार रहे, इसलिए मिट्टी की गणेश प्रतिमाओं की ही स्थापना की जानी चाहिए। शास्त्रों के अनुसार मिट्टी में पृथ्वी, आकाश, अग्नि, जल व वायु तत्व का समावेश होता है, इसलिए मिट्टी के गणेश की पूजा करना ही शास्त्र सम्मत है।
